Gurudeva has sent the following message to the devotees in Hong Kong, but it is also very relevant to devotees around the world:-

Dear devotees of the ISKCON Hong Kong yatra,

May Srila Prabhupada shower his blessings on you. All glories to His Divine Grace.

As I follow recent events in Hong Kong, you are in my thoughts more and more. Here I wish to offer you my whole-hearted spiritual support. I have always felt a natural special affection for all of you in the Hong Kong yatra; but today I remember you even more fondly.

The actual Lords of Hong Kong, Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai, are visible on my desktop most of the time. They are truly the most gorgeous Gaura-Nitai Deities in the world. And They exude a flood of compassion that must be Their reaction to the difficult preaching field Hong Kong has always been. Everywhere I go devotees who see Them on my computer screen make the same comments. Please don’t forget that you are the most fortunate devotees in the world to have the opportunity to see Them and feel the waves of compassion and kindness flowing from Them.

It’s easy to take for granted the mercy we’ve been given to have come in contact with Srila Prabhupada’s movement. His Divine Grace would often tell us to remember what it was like to be without Krishna consciousness, to be completely ignorant of why we suffer in this material world and the fact that there is a permanent ultimate solution to our problems, individually and collectively. That will not only help us to realize how fortunate we are but also to see clearly how unfortunate are those on both sides of the political struggle going on in Hong Kong!

The hard truth is that the polarization going on in Hong Kong is being felt throughout the world. And this situation is predicted in Canto 12 of Srimad-Bhagavatam.

If we truly want to help, the first thing we ourselves must do is to feel compassion for the contioned souls on both sides of the conflict going on in Hong Kong. We should resist the temptation to take sides and think in terms of friends and enemies. Sri Prahlada Maharaja taught while speaking to his classmates that the basic principle of politics is the concept of friends and enemies.

Here is the essence of what will strengthen us and give us the necessary courage to stand with the truth against the illusion created by the Lord’s illusory energy  (Sri Caitanya-caritamrta, Antya-lila 3.51–52):

”How will these yavanas be delivered? To My great unhappiness, I do not see any way.”

PURPORT

This verse reveals the significance of Lord Sri Caitanya’s appearance as patita-pavana, the deliverer of all the fallen souls. Srila Narottama dasa Thakura sings, patita-pavana-hetu tava avatära: ”O my Lord, You have appeared just to deliver all the fallen souls.” Mo-sama patita prabhu na paibe ara: ”And among all the fallen souls, I am the lowest.” How Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu was always thinking about the deliverance of the fallen souls is shown by the statement e duhkha apara (”It is My great unhappiness”). This statement indicates that Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who is the Supreme Personality of Godhead Krsna Himself, is always very unhappy to see the fallen souls in the material world. Therefore He Himself comes as He is, or He comes as a devotee in the form of Sri Caitanya Mahäprabhu, to deliver love of Krsna directly to the fallen souls…

Haridasa Thakura replied, ”My dear Lord, do not be in anxiety. Do not be unhappy to see the condition of the yavanas in material existence.

PURPORT

These words of Haridasa Thakura are just befitting a devotee who has dedicated his life and soul to the service of the Lord. When the Lord is unhappy because of the condition of the fallen souls, the devotee consoles Him, saying, ”My dear Lord, do not be in anxiety.” This is service. Everyone should adopt the cause of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu to try to relieve Him from the anxiety He feels. This is actually service to the Lord. One who tries to relieve Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s anxiety for the fallen souls is certainly a most dear and confidential devotee of the Lord. To blaspheme such a devotee who is trying his best to spread the cult of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is the greatest offense. One who does so is simply awaiting punishment for his envy.

So I beg all of you please not to take sides in this issue. That will cause division among you and weaken everyone spiritually. We are the only hope for this world blazing in the fire of dissension and conflict.

Please take shelter of the soothing rays of mercy emanating from Their Lordships Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai. And with that mercy continue giving shelter to whoever will listen.

This is what Srila Prabhupada meant when he said that the test of our love for him will be how we co-operate to keep his movement together.

Hare Krishna

Hoping you are well well and happy in all respects, I remain as always

Your well-wisher in service to Srila Prabhupada,

Kesava Bharati Dasa Goswami

Dear god-brothers and sisters,

Here is a brief summary of news from Gurudeva.  He may write a more thorough update during his two weeks in UK.

Gurudeva has shared with some of his god-brothers a sample audio file of his recording of the Foreword to Caitanya Caritamrta and has received great encouragement from their very positive comments.  Once he returns to Houston he will be continuing with this extremely valuable BBT audio book project which, once completed, will be a real boon for thousands of devotees across the globe for decades to come.

More positive news: Gurudeva is coming close to completion of the whole SB in the DRoSPB format, which will be a unique and powerful product to promote the reading of Srila Prabhupada’s books. The entire Gita is also archived on FB.  Gurudeva intends, when time allows, to tidy up the few videos on which the sound wasn’t so clear.

There were a number of YouTube channels using his name and without Gurudeva’s prior agreement, so please be aware that he has pared down the YouTube channels to the one set up by Rati-manjari mataji, which I understand is a channel of the same name as the FB readings (“DRoSPMB").  Gurudeva suggests that we can start canvassing for devotees to help transfer over to the YouTube channel – perhaps Rati-manjari mataji will send something out separately to God-brothers and sisters regarding help she may need.

I hope this is a useful summary of Gurudeva’s current projects.  I beg forgiveness for any errors or omissions.

Here follows a beautiful letter written by Mahadaya dd, and reproduced here with her kind permission:

Hare Krishna Maharaja,

All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Please accept my respectful obeisances

I would like to express my gratitude to you because you are a big inspiration for all the devotees around the world. I have been listening and watching all the Srila Prabhupada’s Reading sessions via Facebook for more than six months without fail. It is really helping a lot in the development of my Krishna Consciousness.

I was passing a lot of tribulations last year and also this year.  However after having your association and all the assembled devotees there in Houston or Govardhan, is helping me tremendously.

Thank you Maharaja and may Lord Narasimha keep giving you a lot of strength so in that sense you can accomplish you vow, of reading Srila Prabhupada’s books without fail.

Here follows a letter Gurudeva sent out to his disciples and friends:-

Dear all,

May Srila Prabhupada shower his blessings on you. All glories to His Divine Grace.

It’s time for another long-over-due update letter to you all. I recently wrote an open letter to the ISKCON Houston community. It included some of the things I’m going to say here. To those who may have received both letters, please excuse the repetition.

As many of you may already know, I’ve been struggling with moderate to severe chronic pain for decades. But while traveling to the UK, India, and back this past fall and winter, the pain increased to such an extent that it was hard for me to walk any distance. I couldn’t even go up the stairs in Govardhana to have darshan of the Deities during our annual Kartika vrata. And traveling was quite difficult. It almost seems as if, to facilitate the different services I’ve been assigned, Krishna has stopped me from going out of my living quarters! :-) More about that later.

When I arrived in Houston at the end of last December and reported my condition to Dr. Gurubhakti, she arranged for Xrays that showed severe degenerative osteoarthritis and bone spurs in both my hips, which explained the difficulty I’d been having to walk very far. HG Anantesvara Prabhu, a qualified Vaidya here in Houston, kindly agreed to give me regular Ayurvedic treatments four to five times a week. In asking about my history, he learned that I had had an accident in 1989 that could be exacerbating my condition: I fell 14 feet through a skylight in the London Soho St Temple. There were no broken bones, but it took six months for me to recover.

Anantesvara Prabhu very expertly advised me not to have hip replacement surgery, which may seem the natural thing to do, because of complications that might arise due to a deformity on one side of my hips, most probably caused by that accident or a birth defect. The Ayurvedic treatment takes longer and cannot reverse the degeneration, but he is hopeful that it can reduce the pain and keep the condition from getting worse. In fact I have felt a slight improvement over the past month. I'm hopeful, then, that I’ll continue to improve as long as I maintain the treatments and stay extremely regulated and careful not to overextend myself, as he has advised. This has all resulted in an even more reclusive way of life than the one I had developed during the 17 years I was editing all those books! :-)

That brings me to the changes in my travel plans. On doctor’s advice, I’ve cancelled my domestic flights within the US and will stay in Houston until 15 Sept when I’ll make my usual yearly trip to Govardhan – this year from Houston and back – with stops in the UK both ways. For reasons I'll explain below, I’ve decided to come back to Houston even earlier than I did last year. This year, because Kartika is earlier, I plan to arrive back in Houston by the end of the last week of November or first week of December.

Last year I arrived in Houston on 29 December, earlier than I usually do, to spend as much time as possible recording the official BBT audio book of the Cc. As many of you already know, the BBT Trustees have asked me to narrate the Caitanya-caritamrta, Srimad-Bhagavatam, and Bhagavad-gita As It Is, complete with purports. This serious legacy service is a dream come true for me, one that perfectly suits my less than normal mobility. :-) Plus, I’ve been encouraged by many god brothers who know me best that this service is ideal for me and is one of the most important things happening in our movement today. The recording and sound editing will take a minimum of 3 to 5 years to complete, which means I could conceivably be 78 years of age or older if, Krishna willing, I’m allowed to complete this daunting service. I have a solemn duty, therefore, to keep my voice as consistent and health as strong as possible to facilitate this extremely difficult and important service. I’ve tentatively decided, therefore, depending on my health, to stay in Houston – after this year’s travel to Govardhana – continuously until the audio books are completed.

Syamasundara Prabhu, the Temple President here in Houston, as well other leading devotees have given me full facility to stay in the sannyasi quarters (otherwise known as the Priest Residence) for as long as it takes to complete this profound legacy service for Srila Prabhupada. With the international trend toward audio books, who knows how substantially these audio books of Srila Prabhupada’s major works will contribute to the future spreading of the Krishna consciousness movement?

Gaura, the son of a senior devotee here in Houston, lives right next door to the sannyasi quarters and is expert at sound engineering. He also has a room in his home with professional recording equipment, which is another reason it makes sense for me to stay here until the completion of the audio books. I hardly have to move to do this service, conserving time and minimizing wear and tear on the body. I contributed to constructing a recording booth, which has further elevated the quality of the audio. From mid-January until now, we’ve recorded 1500 pages of the Adi-lila, but very little has been edited as yet.

Attached to the end of this letter is a sample of the final edited Preface of the Caitanya-caritamrta for your pleasure and inspiration.

A week before HH Tamala Krishna Goswami left this world he called me into his room and asked me to come with him to Dallas and Houston to help him “move” the yatras. We didn’t discuss the details before his tragic accident; but now I can see clearly that diversifying the yatras was an important part of what he meant. Up to now there have been no full-time ashram devotees in Houston and no designated ashram space. But now Pranatakaruna Prabhu, my second-initiated brahmacari disciple, has kindly agreed to come to Houston and head up a full-time new devotee program.

Syamasundara Prabhu and many other devotees here have welcomed Pranatakaruna and already four new bhaktas have joined, with more sure to come. A purpose-built ashram is already underway and a new van has been procured to carry the new devotees out to distribute books and preach in the surrounding area and college campuses. Just yesterday we designed a very nice card to invite favorable young people they are meeting to a program at the temple and then a daily reading session I’m doing in the library of the Sannyasi quarters. So another service I am doing while here is to shepherd the growth of this project and help train the new devotees for the pleasure of Srila Prabhupada, HH Tamala Krishna Goswami, and all the devotees of the Houston yatra. With your blessings our goal is to build a population of new ashram devotees to expand and diversify the ISKCON Houston community. A new full-time bhaktin, Hannah, has also joined and become an assistant editor to Gaura.

Probably all of you know that five years ago I made a serious vow to read out loud Srila Prabhupada’s books every day for the rest of my life and that a little more than a year ago I began live streaming those readings wherever I stay. As of today 1404 (and counting) devotees worldwide follow the readings, and I’ve been able to keep my vow, except for the days I’ve been on long-haul flights. What’s more, here in Houston more devotees attend the live readings than any other place I visit, generally between 12 and 30 devotees and guests most days. From the loving exchanges I’ve had with many of you since I started broadcasting these readings, I understand that this daily hearing and chanting of Srila Prabhupada’s books has brought us closer together, even though we may not be with one another physically as much as when I was regularly traveling. Truth be told, the encouragement you have all given me as a result of these daily readings has been a great source of inspiration for me. That inspiration has been what has given me the strength to commit to completing the audio books of Srila Prabhupada’s major works.

Amazingly, as I wrote this last paragraph, I received a hand written letter from a senior devotee, Sudevi Dasi, which I share with you to give you an idea of the effect the daily readings are having on the lives of many Vaisnavas, especially those who may not be living close to a temple community:

“Dear Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Your daily readings and association is tremendously appreciated; my day is not complete without me “tuning in.”

What a joyous time it is. Giving me renewed perspective on my life, improving my chanting, my faith is refreshed…no words can describe the beneficial effects it has on me because I do not understand the magnitude of it all!

I face daily difficult challenges taking care of my mentally, emotionally afflicted adult daughter (38)…in the past few months there has been some relief and improvements. Indeed, Maharaja, “Where there is Srimad-Bhagavatam, there is no inauspiciousness.”

Rati Manjari Prabhu is so adorable, sincere, dedicated, talented – she informed me of your favorite lozenges. I offered them to my Gaura Nitai Deities, for Whom I made the first wearable outfit after trying many times since I can’t sew. [Note: She enclosed a lovely photo of her beautiful Deities.]

Thank you for your daily readings, your advices, encouragements. I feel your mercy and my life is enriched, improved and full of hope and relief!! You help me cope and regain my sanity – Thank you dear Maharaja, thank you."

What more can I say? By the mercy of all of you I’m being engaged in devotional service. I beg all of you to continue to engage me in devotional service, especially in helping others in their spiritual development. Please tolerate that this year my traveling will be restricted and that after this year I probably won’t be traveling at all until I complete recording the audio books for the BBT. I can’t do anything without your blessings.

Mayapur-sasi Prabhu, who has been administering my web site for years, has recently sent me a draft of a book he’s been compiling of letters I’ve written over the years. He’s organized the material very expertly into topical categories, along with scriptural backup material. And he’s done it in a way that maintains the confidentiality of devotees I’m writing to. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel toward –and how impressed I am with – his intelligent and dedicated service. I haven’t had time to give suggestions and ideas, what to speak of sending him more recent letters I want him to include. He’s repeatedly asked for more material to include on the web site both from me in terms of notices or regular messages and from you all in terms of photos, recordings, and so on. He keeps my schedule up to date on the site, and, as most of you know, has been extremely helpful in acting as a via medium when I’ve been indisposed and unable to communicate properly. He understands that since I began recording my readings every day and broadcasting them through the internet, traffic on the website has been drastically reduced. And sometimes he wonders what the value of continuing the site is. But I think it will be invaluable in the future, and I encourage him to continue this service and all of you to accept him as a coordinator on my behalf.

That’s it for now.

Hare Krishna

Hoping you are all well and happy in all respects, I remain as always

Report on visits to Gurudeva by our dear God-brother and sister, Dayal Nitai dasa, Radhananda Devi dasi

Houston July 1st - 8th 2017.

Back in January we booked our tickets to fly to Dallas hoping to meet with His Holiness Srila Kesava Bharati Dasa Goswami, Srila Guru Maharaja, while
he would be spending time in both Dallas and Houston, Texas.

In fact, the idea of visiting Srila Guru Maharaja in the United States originated during a meeting with late mother Janaki, how we would like to attend a Vyasa-puja ceremony held in Srila Guru Maharaja´s honour in Dallas or Denver or ... ? Yes, let´s do this together, was the plan and, should we involve other disciples as well? Then although mother Janaki passed on months later,we still carried on with our (adjusted) plan, taking her picture with us on our trip to see Srila Guru Maharaja.

Maharaja´s schedule had now changed though, as he is now recovering from an unexpected severe health crisis. His own updates on this as well as those received from Mayapur-sasi Prabhu have in detail explained what it exactly was that Maharaja has recently gone through and although the fevers had subsided and obviously his health condition had improved by the time we arrived to Houston, equally obvious was that there is still a long way and a significant stretch of time between now and full health recovery.

His Grace Devaprastha Prabhu and his good wife mother Adi Shakti Devi dasi warmly received us at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport and later at their house in Dallas and after some days drove us all the way to Houston.

ISKCON Houston has recently built a new, simply magnificent temple, a true palace, in honour of the presiding deities Sri Sri Radha Nila Madhava.

Srila Guru Maharaja resides at the priest quarters of the temple, a 3 minute walk away from the main temple, in an also recently built beautiful and
accommodating building.

Knowing that we would be arriving in Houston close to midday, Srila Guru Maharaja sent word that he would have us over for lunch. His Grace Krishna Kripa Prabhu is orchestrating who is cooking when and what, purchasing goods, cleaning, serving, and has been around Srila Guru Maharaja basically 24 hours a day for the last 2 months.

During a wonderfully cooked lunch taken in the wonderful company of Srila Guru Maharaja, Maharaja spoke, after cordially welcoming us and making us feel at home, of nothing else than the pastimes and teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, by the end of the meeting ´apologizing´ that... he
does not know to speak anything else :) .

After lunch Maharaja retired to his room and we settled in the different places we would stay for the days we would be in Houston. We (Radhananda
Devi dasi and Dayal Nitai dasa) were fortunate to stay at the house of His Grace Sarvabhauma Prabhu and his good wife mother Guru Bhakti. It is mother Guru Bhakti who, among others, has been and still is closely monitoring Guru Maharaja´s medical condition. She is a practicing physician and Guru Maharaja told us at some point how he has no words to express how he appreciates mother Guru Bhakti´s assistance and how he feels eternally indebted to her for all the care and advice she has extended to him. Mother Guru Bhakti understands that Srila Guru Maharaja easily gets high spirited when it comes to spending time with devotees, reading aloud with them from the books of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, and tends to exhaust his still frail medical condition by carrying on way over what she deems advisable for him at this stage of his recovery. One evening when mataji joined in the readings, Srila Guru Maharaja was going to on to a next chapter, having already read out loud for more than one hour when she gently reminded Maharaja that it would be better for him to retire to his rooms now
and rest, an advice which he thankfully abided by.

In the evenings Guru Maharaja reads aloud from Krishna Book or Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita. One of the coming days, he plans to open the readings to more devotees to join in, as he used to do before he fell ill. For the days we were there, only a handful of devotees were in the room listening to him reading and occasionally providing further comments.

A devotee from ISKCON Houston agreed to start recording Maharaja´s readings and sharing them with all of us. Mayapur-sasi Prabhu would keep us updated on that development.

One lunch time Srila Guru Maharaja requested us to make some of the sandwiches that we make in our bakery shop back in Belgium and he liked
them!

Just before leaving Houston, we asked Srila Guru Maharaja if there were any last suggestions/instructions on how we could be of use to his mission, to which he gently replied that for him there is only one focus, and that is to practice and encourage the loud reading of Srila Prabhupada´s book. He
stresses that we not just daily read Srila Prabhupada´s books but read them out loud, even when we read on our
own. The sound of what we read enters the ear and finds its way to our hearts and that in itself will effectively gradually purify our entire being
and set everything straight.

Moral of the story to ourselves: if we have intentions of being of service to Srila Guru Maharaja, we can effectively fulfill that ambition by daily
taking out time for reading aloud the writings of Srila Prabhupada.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
All glories to Srila Guru Maharaja!

Your servants, Dayal Nitai dasa, Radhananda Devi dasi (Antwerpen, Belgium)

Here follows a letter Gurudeva sent out to his disciples and friends:-

Dear all,

May Srila Prabhupada shower his blessings on every one of you. All glories to His Divine Grace.

This is meant to be a follow-up to my last update. I didn’t have the energy when I wrote that last message to express my feelings toward you all, the history of the deterioration of my health, and at the same time describe the silver lining in the dark cloud of my illness. So I left out what I realized was the silver lining in the cloud. Now I wish to share this realization with you.

Just after I came down to Houston from Dallas my health had reached its lowest ebb. As I mentioned previously, the first blood test showed very little water in my blood. How that manifested itself physically and mentally was that my senses could not connect very well to the environment around me and I became so weak that I could barely function. But somehow, by the grace of Srila Prabhupada, I was able to continue to chant my thirty-two rounds (minus two days in which I reduced them to sixteen) and to read out loud every evening at least an hour from Srila Prabhupada’s books.

A couple of evenings after I arrived in Houston, I sat down to read Caitanya-caritamrta, Antya-lila, and suddenly I realized that I had nothing, I possessed nothing. This consciousness was forced on me by my physical condition, not by any spiritual contemplation or qualification on my part, but nonetheless the effect was there. In that consciousness I started to read out loud as best I could and the quality of the sound was different than usual. The words were the same, but what I heard was more than I’d ever heard before. What I was understanding was more than I had ever understood before. Then, to my amazement, all my misery disappeared. I was no longer suffering.

This is the effect of hearing the Supreme Lord’s pastimes as confirmed throughout Srimad-Bhagavatam and Sri Caitanya-caritamrta. It is an open secret revealed repeatedly in both these literatures. For example, Srila Krsnadasa Kaviraja Goswami, author of Caitanya-caritamrta, writes:

"The author requests every reader to hear these talks with faith and without argument. By studying them in this way, one will be able to understand the confidential truth of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.” (Cc., Antya 8.308)

"Anyone who desires to cross over the ocean of nescience, please hear with great faith the life and characteristics of Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu.” (Cc., Antya 11.107)

"Just try to hear these topics with faith, for there is great pleasure even in hearing them. That hearing will destroy all miseries pertaining to the body, mind and other living entities, and the unhappiness of false arguments as well. Sri Caitanya-caritämåta is ever-increasingly fresh. For one who hears it again and again, the heart and ear become pacified.”  (Cc., Antya 19.110–111)

"I now worship the lotus feet of all my readers, for by the mercy of their lotus feet there is all good fortune.

"If one hears the pastimes of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahäprabhu as described in Sri Caitanya-caritämåta, I wash his lotus feet and drink the water.

I decorate my head with the dust of the lotus feet of my audience. Now you have all drunk this nectar, and therefore my labor is successful.” (Cc., Antya 20.150–152)

So this is the active principle: the blessings of the eternal associates of the Lord.

My dear devotees, I have no love or pure faith, but somehow or other by force of circumstances, I was made to hear in an especially helpless condition, without the ability to think of anything except what I was hearing, without the capacity to mentally argue or doubt. This was the silver lining in the cloud of my feverish condition. We are all helpless in this material world. The difficulties and suffering we all face are meant to help us hear the holy names of Krishna and His pastimes with a feeling of helplessness.

So whatever our social position, whatever our level of realization, whatever our service – however busy we may be – we must all find time every day to hear the pastimes of Srimad-Bhagavatam and Sri Caitanya-caritamrta. And I’m more convinced than ever that if we hear systematically, from cover to cover, the main books Srila Prabhupada gave us – especially Bhagavad-gita As It Is, Srimad-Bhagavatam, and Sri Caitanya-caritamrta – again and again for the rest of our lives, along with following the regulative principles strictly, and chanting at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krsna maha-mantra, gradually we will be become eligible to enter the pastimes of the Lord. Srila Prabhupada’s translations and purports are transcendental. Hearing them sincerely is as good as hearing the original Sanskrit. There is no other explanation for how Krishna consciousness spread across the globe the way it has.

May the mercy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead’s eternal associates rain down on us all through their personal association available in the sound

of Srila Prabhupada’s translations and purports.

Hare Krishna!

Hoping you are all well and happy in all respects, I remain as always

Your well-wisher in service to Srila Prabhupada,

Kesava Bharati Dasa Goswami

Gurudeva's Health Update.

Gurudeva’s health situation continues to improve day by day. A week has passed since he had a fever, so that in itself is a major step forward and shows great progress.  Yesterday was the last day that he needed to take antibiotics.  All this is of course wonderful news, but understandably Gurudeva is still weak and it will still be some time until his energy levels return to normal.

Update on Gurudeva's health situation.

Hare Krsna dear god-brothers and sisters,

Please accept my humble obeisances.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada and our dear Gurudeva.

I have heard from Gurudeva this morning and he has asked me to send you all an update regarding his current health situation.

Following tests carried out early last week the cause of Gurudeva’s fevers, which are on-going, has been diagnosed as typhoid.   This is a serious situation but thankfully typhoid is treatable nowadays and this is underway.

Gurudeva tells me that he is very weak and unable to respond to emails.  He is concerned that he has been incommunicado, and especially mentioned the devotees in Denver as he had hoped to spend time with them.  I have reassured Gurudeva that we all send him our love and prayers and that we fully understand that the priority now is to give him the time and space his body needs to recover.

Your servant,

Mayapur-sasi Dasa
